My friends know me all too well as being much more of a cat person then a dog person. Some might say that I hate dogs but that isn’t the truth. I love the well behaved animals. I do have problems with some dog owners who mistreat and don’t give the care and attention that is needed by the animal and this in turn can lead to bad behavior.

Oddly I have been told to always be careful around stray dogs but I find them the most gentle. Granted, they are trying to get a meal, but I have never felt threaten and they generally are very fun to be with. So many times I have wanted to take home a pup, but it was just not feasible

The one pictured here I met in Gallup, New Mexico. He was hanging around a motel I where I was staying. He actually never came up to me but was happy to accept some food and water that I left behind.
